INDCO is a dynamic and progressive business promoting old school values with new school thinking. We are not new to business; we have combined business management experience of over 40 years. We are using this experience, and that of our 60 years industry knowledge, to forge a new company.
With strong personal ties to the Indigenous community, through our Co Founder and Managing Director, Ben Orme, we aim to represent and empower diverse groups of people to work in their chosen field.
Ben is a qualified Diesel Fitter, having trained and worked in the coal mining industry for over two decades, working his way up from an apprentice, to trade qualified diesel fitter, to supervisor, and on to managerial positions.
Ben has led large workgroups consisting of a dynamic range of skill sets and understands the challenges in supporting employees and subcontractors. He specialises in a broad range of machinery maintenance on equipment ranging from ancillary, field and mobile including ultra-class truck and digger fleets as well as exploration and production drills.
Ben is proud of his cultural heritage which stems back to the Mitakoodi people located in the Central Western Queensland region.
Ben was raised in Moranbah, Central Queensland and has a strong connection to the land in which he lives. His vision is to see INDCO develop into the largest Indigenous and equal-opportunity employer in Australia.
He loves living the Queensland lifestyle with his wife and two sons in Mackay. In his spare time Ben enjoys fishing, crabbing and is a Gold Coast Titans supporter.
